Sunday School Topics
The Adult Sunday school class will begin a new series, facilitated by Kathy Snavely and Mark Schappell. Catalyzed by Mark Draper’s March series on Christianity and Slavery, we’ll look at what Alexis de Tocqueville had to say in his timeless classic, Democracy in America. Originally published in 1835, de Tocqueville came to America to study our progressive (for that time) prison system. But this philosopher and historian saw so much more. We’ll use the lens of our faith to view the concepts of democracy, then and now.
Quartlerly Series
Faith of our Families
Running quarterly throughout the year, we are featuring a different member of our church who will share how their families, churches, friends and events shaped their faith. We will be videotaping the series to post on our church website, so they may be referred to in the future at your convenience. If you would like to take part in sharing your story, contact Kathy Snavely (info@lightkeeper.net or 717-507-2667) for more information or to schedule your session. You may plan your presentation yourself or it may be done interview style with Kathy. As always, you can participate on Sunday mornings at 9 A.M. at church or by Zoom!
