Next Sunday School Series.. Have you had “THE CONVERSATION” with your family?
AGEWAVE INITIATIVE Advance Care Planning Coalition Presenters: Roberta Geidner, ofWellSpan, and Kathleen Hetrick.
Dates:April 18, April 25 and May 2 Time: 8:30 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. Location: Youth Room
The “conversation” that the CUMC Adult Sunday School class will be talking about contemplates the question…
“Have I thought about my end-of-life wishes, documented them, chosen the right person to help me carry these out and discussed them with my family… so that when the time comes that I become critically ill or die, I will be treated and cared for in the way that I want, and my family will not be burdened by having to make critical decisions at a very emotional time?”
90% of Americans say that it’s important to talk about their end-of-life care wishes… YET, fewer than 30% have had those conversations.
Discussions will be led by representatives from theAGEWAVE INITIATIVE Advance Care Planning Coalition - Roberta Geidner, ofWellSpan, and Kathleen Hetrick. Everyone age 18 and older is invited to join the class either in person or through Zoom. Registration for those attending in person is necessary. Call the church office, 717- 272-0148, by Thursday, April 15th to register. To receive a Zoom link, contact the church office by Thursday, April 15th.
