Sermon Series
Sermon Series: More Than Enough
Our God is faithful and provides for all of our needs. Our response should be hearts filled with gratitude, worship, and generosity. In this season of Thanksgiving, let us rest in the goodness of God and be affirmed that God is with us, that we are loved, and therefore are called to love others and to live with generosity in our hearts.
November 16th:
Sermon: More Than Enough: Overflowing Generosity
Scripture: Proverbs 11:24-25; Luke 6:38
God provides; God is faithful. There is no end to God’s love. We are called to trust in God’s provision as our hearts are transformed from fear and scarcity to joy and abundance. We are called to respond to the love of God and from the blessings we have received to live a life filled with generosity. As we respond to God, joy and blessing will abound. God calls us to live ready to give with the confidence that God will provide. This is Commitment Sunday. How will you respond? How will you make an impact in the Kingdom of God?
November 23rd:
Sermon: More Than Enough:
The Power of the Table
Scripture: Luke 14:12-24
At God’s table, transformation happens where everyone is invited. It is at God’s table where walls come down as we seek to be peace agents. Broken lives begin to be restored and relationships reconciled. As we sit down at the table, every meal we share becomes a reminder of God’s love for all people. This Thanksgiving, may we reflect on the hope we have through Christ Jesus in a world that is hungry. Who will you invite to the table? What walls must you tear down in your life? How will you share the love of Jesus with others?

November 30:
Sermon: Songs of the Season: Busy and Overwhelmed Scripture: Luke 10:38-42
We’ve been waiting for this season to arrive all year long, but when Christmas comes, it comes quickly and furiously and suddenly we are feeling busy and overwhelmed with all that it brings. May we not get so distracted by the busyness and all of the activities of the season that we forget what the season is all about. May we pause during the season to focus on Jesus and the beautiful gift of his presence. What must you do to prepare your heart for this season to focus on the birth of our Savior?
December 7:
Sermon: Songs of the Season: Memories Scripture: Hebrews 4:14-16
Christmas is a time to gather together with family and friends. This is a time when we recall memories from the past. Sometimes the memories are happy and joyful; other times they are sad. Jesus knows our weaknesses, hurts, and pain. This season is remembering and knowing the promises of God and knowing the Jesus was sent to earth to bring us comfort, joy, and hope because of the love of God. What memories are you holding onto today? Where do you need comfort and healing?
December 15:
Sermon: Songs of the Season: Redemption and Hope Scripture: Philippians 2:5-11
It was that one “holy night” a long time ago when Jesus was born into the world to save the world. Even despite the weariness and hardships, Jesus brings joy in the midst of our struggles. The birth of Jesus reminds us of the grace and love of God. The birth of Jesus isn’t a nostalgic moment that happened in the past, it reminds us that God often moves in mighty and powerful ways today – in ways we might even overlook or forget.
December 21:
Unity Service: Christmas Cantata and Children/Youth drama
December 24: Sermon: Good News for Everyone Scripture: Luke 2:1-20
The shepherds tended to their flocks by night when suddenly they saw the angels and heard about the promise that Jesus’ birth would be “good news…for all the people.” The good news of Jesus brings joy, awe, and wonder. We have received the promises. Through Christ, we have received the gift of redemption. How are you rejoicing in this good news for everyone? How have you received the good news and how are you sharing it?
