Sunday, October 30 @ 7PM
We'll host Pastor Dave Hess, from Christ Community Church in Camp Hill, who will speak about the power of prayer in his recovery from cancer.  He is the author of the books, Hope Beyond Reason and Hope Beyond Disappointment. Dave and his wife Sheri, enjoy ministering together and spending time with their growing family—three children, and their spouses: Bethany and Richie, Ben and Naomi, Brandon and Tara; and three grandchildren: Micah, Abby & Madie. Sunday, Sept 18 @ 7 pm The movie, "War Room" will be shown on  in the Fellowship Hall. This movie event will be open to the public, free of charge and is recommended for adults. WAR ROOM is a vivid reminder that prayer is a powerful weapon.

From the award-winning creators of Fireproof and Courageous comes WAR ROOM, a compelling drama with humor and heart that explores the power that prayer can have on marriages, parenting, careers, friendships, and every other area of our lives.
Tony and Elizabeth Jordan have it all—great jobs, a beautiful daughter, and their dream house. But appearances can be deceiving. Tony and Elizabeth Jordan’s world is actually crumbling under the strain of a failing marriage. While Tony basks in his professional success and flirts with temptation, Elizabeth resigns herself to increasing bitterness. But their lives take an unexpected turn when Elizabeth meets her newest client, Miss Clara, and is challenged to establish a “war room” and a battle plan of prayer for her family. As Elizabeth tries to fight for her family, Tony’s hidden struggles come to light. Tony must decide if he will make amends to his family and prove Miss Clara’s wisdom that victories don’t come by accident.

Following the movie, the Prayer Ministry team will present the prayer walls that have been installed around the church and invite guests to submit individual prayer requests and praises.

 Saturday. August 27th @10AM

The Prayer Ministry at Cornwall United Methodist Church is inviting everyone to participate in the third annual
Lebanon County School Prayer Walk, on Saturday, August 27. Our participation in this intercessory prayer
walk will allow us to establish a presence in the community by joining in prayer for students, teachers, staff, and administrators at the Cornwall Elementary School in Cornwall.

We will meet at Cornwall United Methodist Church @10:00 am and commute or walk, if able, to Cornwall
Elementary School. When we arrive, Judy Walton will lead us in prayer as we move around the school, praying
for the upcoming school year.

The increase in violence and instability in the world and nation makes prayer power more necessary than ever. As we walk, we will spread our prayers across the school property, asking the Lord for the restoration of hope and peace in our schools and classrooms. All ages are encouraged to join this prayer walk. There will be a sign-up sheet in the front foyer of the church. We would love to have the need for several sheets! If you have questions, see Jane Clark, Jess Kishbaugh or Karen Trovinger or call the church office to be connected with one of these leaders.
