Adult MinistrySunday Morning Classes
There are a variety of opportunities for learning, mutual encouragement, and fellowship at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. We offer short-term classes that focus on practical issues (such as parenting or coping with stress) and others that emphasize spiritual growth and Bible study.
New Member Classes
Meet with others who are new to our congregation to get to know each other, to learn what this church believes and to discover what we have to offer you. We would love to have you as a part of our family! Talk to Pastor Jim or call the church office for details.
Men's Group
Join other men in discussion of issues we all wrestle with such as anger, control issues, faith issues, marital dynamics, etc. It's not all serious though! This is also a great way to get to know each other on a more personal level - a time just to hang-out, with opportunities along the way for adventures such as hiking or rappelling. The group meets in the parsonage (old stone home behind the church) on Sunday evenings between 7 and 9 p.m. All are welcome! Phone Roger Fretz (964-3359) or Jay Darrell (304-8627) for details.
Women's Ministry
We currently have three Women's Bible Studies that meet on a weekly basis. Sharing together how scripture applies to our own lives will enrich our relationships with each other and with God. Newcomers are always welcome at these small groups. There are two daytime groups: one meets on Monday afternoons from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the church parsonage and the other is on Friday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. There is also a group which meets in the church parsonage on Tuesday evenings from 6:45 to 8:15.
We also have a Book Discussion Group for women that meets in the parsonage at the same time as the Bible study group (6:45 to 8:15.) The current book being discussed is "Christianity and World Religions: Wrestling with Questions People Ask" by Adam Hamilton. Talk to Linda Fretz (964-3359) to learn more.
Care Groups
These small groups of 6 to 12 people are open to everyone who would like to grow in their life with Christ. At the weekly group meetings you will have the opportunity to share your joys and concerns, pray with each other, learn from the Bible and strengthen friendships. We have groups which are meeting on various days of the week, either in the daytime or evening. For more information, call the church office.
Evening Courses
From time to time we offer short-term courses during the week on a variety of topics. These will be publicized in the bulletin and newsletter. Some recurring courses we've offered in the past are: Alpha - The Alpha Course examines basic issues of the faith and is designed to be both relevant for mature Christians and non-threatening to new Christians or nonbelievers. Alpha is a great way to gain understanding about the Christian faith and build friendships with others asking similar questions. Disciple Bible Study - Disciple is a 34 week journey through the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. This intensive learning experience will challenge you intellectually and spiritually, but will be one of the most enriching opportunities of your life. Lenten series - These Sunday evening meetings during Lent build on that morning's sermon topic.
