The Ash Wednesday Service…March 2nd @ 7PM

The Ash Wednesday Service will be held this year at Cornwall UMC beginning at 7 p.m. This service will be combined with the Rocherty and Mt.Gretna United Methodist Church congregations. The Rev. Mike Remel will be the preacher, and his sermon title and scripture are “What Is Lent?” (Luke 18:9-14).
This service will be Livestreamed on Cornwall’s Facebook page; unfortunately, those watching online will not be able to take advantage of the Imposition of Ashes and the Sacrament of Communion.

“My Favorite Lenten Hymn”

This is a series of short devotionals recorded by local pastors and then posted weekly on each congregation’s website. The pastors agreed on a series entitled, “My Favorite Lenten Hymn”. The pastor of the week will speak about his favorite hymn, the background and history of the hymn and why it's his favorite. Videos will be available for viewing by 5PM each Wednesday. Maundy Thursday Service @ 7PM

Maundy Thursday will be held in the Fellowship Hall at 7 PM. It will be a service about "The Stations of the Cross". Each station will have a hymn verse or two sung with it, as well as a supporting scripture, and accompanying pictures. Instead of WALKING around, we will journey through slides which will be portrayed on the screen.
Good Friday Personal Meditations

A Good Friday Time of Personal Meditation. The door into the foyer will be open on Good Friday (April 2) from Noon to 3 P.M. for those who would like to go into the Fellowship Hall, Chapel or Sanctuary for a time of personal meditation. Do what you feel led to do: simply sit quietly; pray at the altar; read scripture; softly hum hymns, praise choruses or other spiritual songs; etc. For those who will be meditating at home, find a calm, quiet part of your house or go outside. Make sure you are comfortable and free from interruption during this time.
